That’s the equivalent of running from Jacksonville to Atlanta! WOW
The Sneed family is grateful for the continuous outpouring of love from those near and far! We hope that you will join us in the 2022 Trot for Troy on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
THANK YOU
about the trot
We are so grateful to continue to keep Troy's memory and legacy alive by doing something that truly helped him mentally, physically and emotionally — running. As we journey forward, we honor him by taking steps, literally and figuratively, so his path is forever illuminated. During this season of Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for our village - family, friends, and loved ones - who have kept us lifted and supported and embraced us with love.
Troy consistently ran several times a week as a form of self-care and therapy. In 2015, he made an unofficial annual tradition for himself, by running a 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. For the second year in a row, in honor and memory of him, we collectively run a 5K Turkey Trot, and invite his village near and far to Trot for Troy with us, on Thanksgiving Day 2022.
Here’s how you can join us:
CHOOSE a local Turkey Trot in your area and walk, jog or run 5K (3.1miles), as Troy would have this Thanksgiving. You can also trot your neighborhood, local park or indoor gym.
Linked below are a few trots options in various major cities:
TROT with us on Thursday, November 24th, Thanksgiving Day, wearing your Trot for Troy tee, or all black and post, share and tag your 5K (3.1-mile) experience via social media using the hashtag #Trot4Troy.

SUPPORT
This memorial effort was originally planned as a small opportunity for Troy’s friends and family to remember and celebrate his life and support men's mental health.
Since communicating this effort with friends and family we’ve seen an outpour of support from so many people wanting to give and support, so we felt it necessary to set up a formal channel to receive these funds to put our support to work in our local communities.
If you feel moved to donate any amount please send using the link below and we will be sure to provide you with a tax-deductible donation receipt by January 15th, 2023.
ABOUT MEN'S MOVEMBER MENTAL HEALTH MONTH
November is dedicated to turning the focus to men’s mental health. To succeed in addressing the causes of poor mental health, we must equip those who identify as male or a man to find the path to better mental health.
November 1 marks the official start for what is known as “Movember”. The annual month-long fundraiser is celebrated in various countries. The goal of the fundraiser encourages men to grow a mustache during the month of November, with the hope men will raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues. Some men’s health issues focused on during the campaign include prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s mental health awareness. ~ Movember Foundation website
